Synopsis for "Secret Identities"
Kara decides that she wants to fit in with normal society. She adopts the alias Claire Connors and enrolls at Guggenheim High School. Owen Mercer tries to teach her how to deal with high school politics by making her watch prison films.
Kara goes to school and quickly becomes friends with a girl named Becky. She unfortunately, also cultivates a relationship with Becky's "former" boyfriend, Drew. Becky doesn't seem to mind, and she even invites Kara to her house for a sleepover party.
Later, Kara visits her friend Wonder Girl (who happens to be in the midst of battle with Monsieur Mallah) and discusses her social concerns. Wonder Girl gives her some sage advice about the rigors of high school life, and that everything is not a party.
At the sleepover, the girls invite a portly student named Sarah. Sarah's purpose at being at the party is for the sake of ridicule, and Kara perceptions of her supposed "friends" begins to change. She recalls how she felt being tormented by bullies back in Argo City.
The following day at school, Becky shows her true colors and plays a cruel prank on Kara. She tells her how angry she is for getting close with Drew. Kara decides that she can no longer continue with such a façade. She removes her wig and school clothes, revealing herself as Supergirl. Before flying off, she tells the other students, "Be yourself. It makes life a hell of a lot easier".

Synopsis for "Fish Out of Water"
In search of a need for family, Supergirl decides to try out for the Outsiders. Mostly, she just wants to be closer to Nightwing whom she's developed a school girl crush for. At this point in time, the Outsiders are exploring a darker side of justice, and they no longer have the benefit of the reputation they once held.
They begin by having Grace and Kara go undercover to expose a metahuman pirate ring that has been targeting yachts and trawlers off Angola. They pose as a rival pirate ring in search of a leader. To demonstrate their ruthlessness, Grace and Kara murder a deckhand on one of the boats they seize (which is actually Metamorpho in disguise). The metahuman pirates, led by a scaly woman named Jaq, are impressed with Grace and Kara and decide to give them a shot.
After several misadventures, the Outsiders discover that the pirates derive their powers from a captured amphibian woman who has access to magic. They blow their cover and Jaq's crew begin fighting Supergirl. As Jaq's abilities are based on magic, her claws are able to pierce Supergirl's skin. Suddenly, help arrives from an unexpected source - Power Boy!

Synopsis for "Rock On!"
Nightwing and Captain Boomerang apprehend a couple of purse-snatchers in lower Manhattan. They discuss recent events concerning Supergirl and her commitment towards being a super-hero.
Meanwhile, Kara is dancing the night away at a trendy New York club. Suffering from a mild identity crisis, she ponders giving up her heroic lifestyle for good. She is uncomfortable trying to live up to everyone else's expectations.
Suddenly, a giant, evolved, talking dinosaur (known as an Empathosaur) begins terrorizing the street outside. Supergirl flies out of the club where she sees New York's newest hero, Terra, engaging the creature. Supergirl joins the fight, but the Empathosaur attempts to distract her by projecting images of Superman and Zor-El into her brain. Kara shakes away the confusion and manages to protect several of the night club patrons from being crushed. Terra appears to know a great deal about this creature, and keeps him at bay by telekinetically throwing a tide of rocks and debris at it. She then creates a massive crater in the Earth, and Supergirl picks the monster up and throws him deep into the crevice. With danger averted, Terra seals up the hole. She comments that Empathosaurs thrive in lava, so the creature will come to no harm.
Later, a morose Kara returns home where she has a talk with Boomer. Owen manages to get her to shake off her blues and the two go out into the night to have some fun.
