Synopsis for "Bug-Out!"

Ambush Bug breaks jail in Illinois and decides to become a super-hero, heading for Chicago. While in the windy city, Supergirl is on her way to meet with her orchestrator friend Phil Decker when a subway train goes out of control, prompting her to go to the rescue as Supergirl and stop any potential disaster. As Supergirl (in her civilian identity of Linda Danvers) meets with Phil and discuss his upcoming concert, Ambush Bug appears in the city and decides to get start with his new career as a super-hero. When Phil arrives at the Chicago Symphony Hall, he learns that one of his bandmate's violins (a Trovinskonov Stradivarius violin) has been stolen by the Bandit, a thief who's motus operandi is stealing very expensive musical instruments.

As Linda Danvers conducts her daily job as secretary for Dr. Metzner, and finding that he's "organized" his office (by stuffing everything out of view), Ambush Bug is going about the city attacking people for petty crimes such as littering and smoking in elevators. When Linda learns of the violin theft, she goes out looking for the Bandit as Supergirl. In her searches she runs into Ambush Bug, who mistakes Supergirl for Superman, and believes that the Man of Steel has fallen victim to some sinister sex change plot. Ignoring Ambush Bug's banter and looking for the violin with her x-ray vision, Supergirl finds a lead and flies off, still thinking that she is really Superman, Ambush Bug follows after hoping to "cure" her of her "condition."

As Supergirl continues to search for the violin she is constantly interrupted in her search by Ambush Bug's interference. Meanwhile, Phil is kidnapped by the Bandit, who wants him to conduct an orchestra consisting of crooks playing all the various stolen instruments in the hopes of creating the most perfect orchestra performance. However, all does not go as well since none of the crooks can play the instruments very well. Things get more hairy when Ambush Bug arrives and tries to break things up and has to be saved by Supergirl, who stops the Bandit and also puts boxing gloves over Ambush Bug's hands to prevent him from teleporting away. When Supergirl tells Ambush Bug she now recalls what her cousin Superman told her about him, he begins to realize that Supergirl not Superman trapped in a woman's body.

Later, Supergirl changes back into Linda Danvers and meets up with Phil as the police take The Bandit and Ambush Bug into custody. Ambush Bug manages to wrestle loose and confront Linda where he secretly reveals that he knows her identity, but promises that he'll keep it secret.
