Synopsis for "The Girl of Tomorrow"

In the cancer ward of a hospital in Metropolis, Supergirl vows that young Thomas Price is not going to die. Suddenly, a time traveler appears in the room and slows down time. He fires a Kryptonite bullet at Supergirl who catches it, but at great physical cost. Though time is slowed, Superman is able to project a blast of heat vision that eventually melt's the assailant's weapon. With no alternate course of action, the traveler grabs Kara and disappears into the timestream.

They emerge in a facility four-hundred years in Earth's future. Supergirl tries pressing the man for answers, but they are surrounded by a squad of armored soldiers who open fire on them. Frustrated and confused, Supergirl grabs the time traveler and flies off.

Setting down in a secluded area, she presses him for answers. The time traveler reveals that Supergirl is destined to "steal the fire of the Gods" and transform humanity into a race of super-beings. The time traveler wishes to prevent this, fore although they are now extremely long-lived, they are no longer human.

The time traveler then eats a poisonous capsule. He reveals that he is the only one who can operate the time travel technology, so if he cannot kill Supergirl, he can at least trap her in the future, thus creating a paradox wherein this timeline never comes to pass. His plan fails however, as this era's version of Batman (an extremely long-lived Bruce Wayne) enters the facility and repairs the time traveling device. He activates it and sends Kara back to her normal timeline.
