Synopsis for "Superman's Super-Rival!"

After becoming Superman, the Man of Steel destroyed all his Superboy robots, save for one, which he had given the power of independent thought. This robot he simply deactivated. But after being switched on again accidentally by a mole, the sole Superboy robot came to Metropolis, saw Superman with Jimmy Olsen, and resolved to become Jimmy’s friend. Covering himself with lead bandages to prevent Superman from learning his true nature with his X-ray vision, the robot calls itself Mysterio and attempts to become Jimmy’s greatest pal. But Superman deduces the true identity of Mysterio and, rather than deactivating him, converts him into a new Superman robot.
