Synopsis for "The Girl With Green Hair!"

Jimmy Olsen goes to the Metropolis airport to meet with Lucy Lane, who getting off her stewardess job. Olsen is shocked to find that she met and was charmed into going out on a date with musician Ricky Avalon, who mocks Olsen before leaving him in the dust. To add insult to injury, Jimmy gets a flat and is humiliated further when he's seen by Avalon and Lucy. Just then, an alien ship lands on Earth, and a green haired alien emerges from the ship, she introduces herself as Ka-Ra, an alien who has come to Earth to find the most handsome man. The egotistical Ricky Avalon thinks it's him (much to Lucy's chagrin) however, everyone is shocked when Ka-Ra elects Jimmy to be worth of the title.

Just like that, Jimmy is asked out on a date by Ka-Ra and Jimmy accepts taking her out to dinner and a movie. No surprise, Lucy Lane becomes very jealous of Ka-Ra, the truth of the situation is not lost on Jimmy who enjoys it. Ka-Ra leaves him for the night, and we soon find out that it's really Supergirl in disguise. Supergirl, having seen how poorly Lucy treats Jimmy all the time, had decided to give the girl a taste of her own medicine by making her jealous of Jimmy for once, hoping that she would realize how much Jimmy means to him.

Spying on Lucy with her x-ray vision, she sees that Lucy has gone to her sister Lois Lane for advise. After more dates with Ka-Ra, Jimmy goes back to the airport where he is meeting with his old friend Professor Potter who has taken up a career in making robots for Hollywood movies. Lucy spotting Jimmy tags along, even though Jimmy continually snubs her. When one of the robotic monsters goes out of control Jimmy calls for Superman, however Ka-Ra arrives and saves the two and whisks Jimmy home. Later that evening Professor Potter stops by Jimmy's apartment with a surprise: A robot based on Ka-Ra in thanks for her help, Jimmy stores the robot in his closet.

Deciding to win Jimmy over by cooking him dinner, Lucy is once more foiled as "Ka-Ra" has beat her to the punch with an alien meal. Figuring enough is enough, she enters Ka-Ra's flying saucer and confronts the two just as Ka-Ra is "proposing" to Jimmy, which leads to an argument between the two women. When it becomes apparent that any children that Jimmy and Ka-Ra would have would have super-powers, Jimmy decides to choose Lucy because he doesn't want to be the odd person in a super-family. Pretending to be heart broken, "Ka-Ra" leaves and changes back to Supergirl, crashing the flying saucer as it is no longer needed. Everything works out as Supergirl intended, as she watches Jimmy and Lucy embrace each other. However, later, Jimmy opens his closet door to find that the Ka-Ra robot was just as defective as Professor Potter's other inventions and had fallen apart in the closet. Seeing the robot, Lucy believes that the whole episode was a hoax created by Jimmy, gets upset, clubs Jimmy with one of the robots arms and walks out on him.
