Synopsis for "Doom Link"
Doom Link was an Elseworlds story published written by Christopher Priest and Eduardo Barreto as a promotional insert; it was only available inside packages of Kenner Toys' Superman & Batman Cyber-Link Armor Multipack. It depicts an alternate universe where Superman and Batman both operate out of Metropolis and depend on technology called Cyber-Link Armor to maintain their invulnerability.
Plot Summary
Superman and Batman chase Lex Luthor across Metropolis in his new battle armor. Batman stops Superman from following Luthor through a portal into a trap. They track him down to his secret headquarters and destroy one of his death-traps laden with Kryptonite robots by disabling them. Luthor escapes into a portal, but Batman has recalibrated it to take him straight to city jail.
Notes
- Jimmy Olsen and Lois Lane make one panel unnamed cameos in the Daily Planet scene, although Jimmy speaks one line of dialogue.
