Synopsis for Supergirl: "The Super-Switch to New York"

Supergirl undoes a twister threatening New Athens Experimental School's campus, changes clothes quickly and heads to her office. She comes upon administrator Benjamin Pierce, who calls her on the carpet again for keeping odd hours. Linda reminds him that she makes her own hours according to her contract, and no one has ever complained about her performance but him. As their argument is escalating, Peter Barton overhears Linda's tirade and barges in her office, declaring she has huge acting talent, and insisting that she must apply for a job for the soap opera Secret Hearts, whose star, Linda Larue, is leaving. During the argument, Pierce insults Linda in public, and she gives Pierce a piece of her mind at the same time she quits angrily.

Kara is interested in becoming an actress but she's feeling conflicted, so she meets up with her cousin in space to talk things over. As they smash up asteroids floating dangerously near from Earth, Kara is wondering whether she isn't being selfish, and Kal encourages her to take up the job.

Kara gets the job, but she needs to move to New York City. In order to ward off suspicions, she starts operating as Supergirl in New York a few days before Linda Danvers moves. During that time, she tracks down and captures a terrorist who has planted bombs across the city.

One week later, Linda finally arrives in New York City and signs a contract with Alan Ward, producer of Secret Hearts.
