Superman Family #219 is an issue of the series Superman Family (Volume 1) with a cover date of June, 1982.
Synopsis for Supergirl: "Prison Bars Do Not a Cell Make!"
The Master Jailer accidentally discovers a device which can make Supergirl immaterial. When he uses it, Linda Danvers does a short fade-out on the set of Secret Hearts. She trails the energy to Carl Draper's apartment and sees a note challenging her to stop his attempted bank robbery on the next day. Supergirl builds a Supergirl robot to battle the Master Jailer when he commits the robbery, even though he uses the energy-device that makes her immaterial and invisible. But the pollution which makes it impossible for Superman's and Supergirl's robots to function very long slows the Supergirl robot, and the Jailer destroys it, accidentally smashing the energy-device in the process. Supergirl, as Linda Danvers, is trapped in a phantom state, and fears she may be a phantom forever.
