Synopsis for "Tales of Green Kryptonite No. 1"

A sentient piece of Green Kryptonite tells of how it was originally part of an award given to Jor-El for scientific achievement, only to be transformed into a chunk of Kryptonite by the atomic explosion that destroyed Krypton. On Earth, it first endangered Super-Monkey, then young Clark Kent, and, finally, Superboy, before it was temporarily neutralized and thrown to the Arctic by the Boy of Steel.
