Synopsis for "Insect Queen Part Three: Moonlight & Victory"
The solar explosion released by Chris has destroyed the apartment building. Lois makes up a story about being attacked by people angry about the investigation she and Clark had conducted over the years, so that she can protect Chris' secret. Chris is worried about what happened but Lois comforts him, saying Clark will find a solution.
On the moon, Superman hallucinates the world the Insect Queen desires, with hives, leading to a universe at her command by virtue of Ambrosia. Superman sees that the Insect Queen is attempting to make clone warriors with his DNA. The Insect Queen had also implanted Superman with midges to put him under her control. She then leaves him in a web to be watched by three guards in order to continue her plans.
Lana and the human survivors attempt to stay hidden from the insects. She also reveals LexCorp is in danger of bankruptcy, so she stepped in, hoping to steer LexCorp away from Luthor's criminal history. Then, the survivors see Superman captured by the insects and Lana resolves to help Superman.
Meanwhile, Lois and Chris have moved to a new apartment and Lois informs Perry she will catch up on her work after making sure Chris is okay. Lois asks Chris why did he not tell her or Clark the red-solar watch was hurting him and Chris admits he did not want to be sent away, much like Karsta Wor-Ul. Although Lois attempts to comfort Chris, he is still frightened.
Lana awakens Superman from his coma, giving him enough time to drag the Queen to outer space. Unfortunately, the insect super-soldiers the Queen had created from Superman's DNA awaken and attack Superman. In that moment, the Insect Queen is hit by the baseball Superman had hit into space earler. Superman's plan was to let the Queen be hit by the baseball, so that she would lose control over her soldiers. The plan works and the super-soldiers quickly die without the Queen's control. Superman was also able to expel the Queen's midges from his system. Then, Superman punches the Insect Queen into her ambrosia supply, trapping her in hibernation.
After the battle has ended, Lana demonstrates the moon base's technology to a press conference, salvaging's LexCorp's reputation.
Later still, at the Kents' new apartment, Lois is still attempting to comfort Chris about what happened earlier, while Superman listens from the outside. As he enters the apartment, he asks Chris to come fly with him. Superman takes Chris to Earth's low orbit, where they watch the sunrise. Superman kindly tells Chris that no matter what happens, he and Lois are his family and they will always love him. Chris then hugs Superman, as they are bathed in sunlight.
