Superman (Volume 2) #220 is an issue of the series Superman (Volume 2) with a cover date of October, 2005. It was published on August 3, 2005.

Synopsis for "Home"

John Henry Irons brings a team to the ruins of the original Fortress of Solitude in the Arctic Circle. He comes across readings indicating that the Eradicator is buried beneath the snow, and he causes an explosion, to free him.

In Smallville, Connor Kent reflects with angst upon recent events including his having attacked the Teen Titans while under the control of Lex Luthor. Clark Kent visits him, revealing that he is also concerned about having been a victim of mind-control.

Superboy confesses that half of his DNA comes from Luthor, to Superman's surprise. Superman uses his powers to see that Connor's soul is good, despite Luthor's influence. They are suddenly alerted to the events at the ruins of the Fortress, where they find an injured Dr. Irons. The Eradicator suddenly attacks them angrily, while back at Dr. Irons' camp, one of his team members is activated as an O.M.A.C unit. The O.M.A.C. attacks and injures the Eradicator with just one blow. Superboy tells Superman that he needs to get over whatever is bothering him, because this is likely only the beginning.
