Synopsis for "Dark Harvest"
One night, Jon is watching horror movies alone in his house until his friend Kathy comes in asking for his help: Bessie, her family's prize cow, has gone missing. Her grandfather went out into the woods to find her but hasn't returned. Jon agrees to help her and they go to Deadman's Swamp, the last place Mr. Branden and Bessie were seen. They find the whole place is deserted; the waters are murky, the trees are burned and even the grounded was turned to glass. Jon realizes he is the one who burned the swamp with his heat vision. He has no time to come to terms with it, however, as the children come across a mysterious man hidden in darkness.
Jon and Kathy run for it but get lost in the woods. They take refuge in a large house in the woods, fending off wild animals on the way. Jon thinks that something in the swamp either made the animals go crazy or is messing up with the children's heads. The house is old, creepy and looks like it's going to fall apart in any moment. The dark man gets closer and closer, forcing the kids to go deeper into the house to find someplace to hide. Even after finding Bessie, the dark man, who has grown gigantic, catches up to them. The whole place is surrounded in darkness.
Coming to their senses, Jon and Kathy find themselves hanging from a rope inside a well. Above, they find Mr. Cobb and Bessie waiting for them. The children tell him what happened and Mr. Cobb thinks something in the swamp's waters must have caused them hallucinate. Jon returns home and goes to bed, just in time for Clark and Lois to check on him.
Unknown to the Smiths, however, the dark man still watches.
