Super-Woman is a name used by several characters in the DC Universe as female versions of Superman. Primarily it is the alias used by a negative counterpart to Wonder Woman in the Crime Syndicate, evil counterparts to the Justice League. Lois Lane would use the alias when she briefly gained powers during the Silver Age. Luma Lynai was another counterpart to Superman. Kristin Wells uses the name in the 29th Century. Dana Dearden briefly used the alias when she was in love with Superman. Lucy Lane gains powers and becomes the new Superwoman as part of Project 7734 during New Krypton. The concept was created by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster, first appearing in Superman #45. (1947)
