History
Sven Nelson was an archaeologist, who was convinced that there was life on other planets. Sven would often take his only son, Kent on his expeditions, exposing him to ancient artifacts and places.
During one mission on Egypt, Sven died from poisoning and Kent was left alone in an ancient pyramid, where he was found by Nabu the Wise. Sven was buried in the Egyptian desert and his son Kent would grow up to become Doctor Fate.

- Although this character was originally introduced during DC's Earth-Two era of publication, their existence following the events of the 1985–86 limited series Crisis on Infinite Earths remains intact. However, some elements of the character's Pre-Crisis history may have been altered or removed for Post-Crisis New Earth continuity, and no longer apply.
