Synopsis for "Waiting For God (Oh!)"

Swamp Thing learns that Lex Luthor is responsible for the attack that ultimately "destroyed" him. He transforms himself into bio-electric energy and travels via modem lines to Metropolis to exact his revenge upon Luthor.

At the Daily Planet, many media journalists gather together on the roof for the first official press conference with Superman. Clark and Lois chat with Dr. Roger Huntoon while they wait for Superman to arrive.

With his telescopic vision, Clark sees a microbe Swamp Thing trying to break into the LexCorp building. He batters it away with his super-breath before it can enter the building. But Swamp Thing won't be deterred. He keeps reforming and re-attempting to break into the building.

Clark quickly disappears from the roof of the Daily Planet and flies over to the Lexcorp building where he snatches Swamp Thing out of the air. Swamp Thing projects his essence into Superman's eyes, temporarily blinding him. Superman crash-lands into Metropolis Park at which point, Swamp Thing exits his body and takes normal form. Superman tells him that he cannot allow Swamp Thing to fulfill his vendetta against Luthor as he has done nothing wrong in the eyes of the law (its not illegal to kill a plant). The two argue, but ultimately Swamp Thing recognizes that Superman is a virtuous person. He decides to curtail his vengeance against Luthor for the time being.

Superman returns to the Daily Planet to attend his press conference.
