Synopsis for "Eye of the Storm"

Across the country, The Rot is taking hold, and Sethe warns his growing army that a warrior of The Green is coming to oppose them.

Alec Holland still feels like a man, but moments ago, the Parliament of Trees sacrificed itself to transform him into something much more. He is now the Swamp Thing, and he can feel the dual aspects of himself, the man and the plant, working in tandem. And now, he is coming for Sethe; coming to stop The Rot. He will not let Abigail Arcane be lost to it.

Alec is full of righteous bravado, but Sethe is confident and derisive. He points out that Alec has been avatar of The Green for a very short time, and has no hope of defeating a force which has overcome some of the earth's oldest elementals. Angrily, Alec leaps into the swarm of rotting flesh and begins ripping his enemies apart.

Alec can sense Abby somewhere, deep in the horde. She is changed; changing. He calls out for her, and fights his way closer. Unfortunately, he arrives too late to stop Abby from emerging from her coccoon as something horrifying. She has become the black queen, an avatar of The Black. Alec tries to reason with her, and appeal to her emotional core, but she grabs him up and impales him on her claws. Abby is consumed only by the desire to destroy him.
