Synopsis for the 1st Story

Jepperd fights off the attacking bear to save his friend but has his face slashed by the bear. He passes out from the injuries.

At the dam, Walter Fish tells the group that he originally arrived at the facility with his two daughters and wife. He lost them all to the sickness and swears he arrived right after the Evergreen Expedition people left. Lucy begins coughing and asks him how he knows they just left. He tells her that the vegetables and fruits were still alive and lush. He asks if they believe him and pleads he's just a lonely man. Lucy tells him she believes him but lies about being alone. Walter claims he used the cameras littered around the forest to track them down and help them from Haggerty.

Meanwhile, Jepperd wakes up from his injuries. Slightly delirious, he has visions of his son and of Gus realizing he needs to take care of the kid. He spots a blood trail to a cave. Inside, the bear looks at Gus and is unsure what to do with him. The bear can't decipher if he is a human or animal. Jepperd arrives and murders the bar saving Gus. Gus hugs him and they two reconcile their differences. They begin walking back towards the girls again and stumble upon the dam.

Inside, Lucy excuses herself for the bathroom and begins coughing up blood. He nose starts bleeding and she realizes she's caught the sickness.
