Synriannaq is a planet in an unknown star system. It was populated by a race of green-skinned primitive humanoids. Thousands of years ago, the exiled Titans settled on a fractured moon orbiting Synriannaq. Dubbing this moon New Chronus, they made it their home and sought to restore the glory they once enjoyed on Earth. As Gods require worshipers in order to survive, the Titans began culling stock from the planet below. The people of Synriannaq erected temples, palaces and monuments in honor of the Titans.
One of the Titans, Rhea, lost her husband to patricide and was the only one amongst her kind without a mate. She went to Synriannaq and took an alien husband and from this union were born a race of monstrous demigods.
In time, the demigods rebelled against the Titans and their world erupted into war. The Titans survived, but the cost was high. To insure their continued existence, and the hope of never repeating their mistakes, Rhea decided to scour the cosmos in search of "seeds" who would serve as vessels for the power of the Gods. One of these seeds was named Sparta and she was a native of Synriannaq. All of the seeds were raised on New Chronus from childhood, but upon reaching maturity, they were returned to their home worlds in order to maintain bonds with their native people. Rhea wanted to make certain that her seeds would not fall prey to vanity, so she wiped their minds of all memory of New Chronus. This tactic failed with Sparta however, and the knowledge of being a chosen resevoir for godlike power eventually drove her mad.
Sparta rallied her people together on Synriannaq and announced a rebellion against the Titans. She knew that she required power however and so she sought out the power of the other surviving seeds spread out throughout the galaxy. One of these seeds was the teenage Earth hero Donna Troy.
