Notes

  • The introductory story, Tales of Ghost Castle, acts as a framing piece for the stories that follow after it.

Trivia

  • Originally, the character of Lucien did not exist within the same continuity as the mainstream DC Universe. Like many horror hosts, his sole function was to act as a boogeyman storyteller, similar to the roles of characters such as Cain and Abel. In 1989, writer Neil Gaiman gathered together the various anthology host characters and integrated them into the DC/Vertigo continuity beginning with Sandman (Volume 2) #1.
  • This issue contains a one-page humor strip by Sergio Aragonés entitled Ghost Cackles.
