Prime Earth or Not?[]

I saw the Earth designation was changed and I must say I'm a bit iffy on categorizing the appearances in this arc as Prime Earth. I agree that it says nowhere this happens in the DCAU so it is definitely not canon with it just because it looks like it, but it's written nowhere it's Harleen Quinzel (Prime Earth)'s past either, seeing how it has severe inconsistencies with both her Prime Earth origin and Prime Earth solo title, despite being originally published as a backup story in the same solo title. For example, this Harley doesn't have her skin bleached, Prime Earth Harley never used the jester costume, even if left to debate seeing how nothing is certain with him: Joker's personality is more jokes than edge, her mother was referred to drink her problems away, Harley had an internship at S.T.A.R. Labs (which is what happened in Justice League Action not Prime Earth) etc. The only thing would be that Prime Earth Harley appears as a metaphorical possible future for jester Harley but that's pretty much it. Seeing the mix of stuff I think it's more of a Batman and Harley Quinn (Movie) situation going on here and should probably be categorized as its own alternate reality or just left alone as neither Prime Earth or DCAU. --Neko (talk) 13:21, August 6, 2018 (UTC)

This version of Harley does have her skin bleached. Prime Earth Harley did use the jester costume in Harley Quinn (Volume 3) #12 and maybe other places I don't remember. Also, in Harley Loves Ivy Part One, Catwoman and Poison Ivy are shown in their New 52 costumes. And then there's this interview:
Do you feel that she has a different voice between the main story and the backup features, which is a take inspired by her animated incarnation, or does she always remain the same?
Palmiotti: No, I think it's the same girl; it's just a different time in her life. I don't see any difference, except that in the front story, she's figured out some of the stuff that, in the back story, she hasn't yet.
I really think it's intended to be Prime Earth, not any separate universe. --HarleyWelcomeQuinn (talk) 22:39, August 6, 2018 (UTC)
I assumed this was a Prime Earth story, at least for the new Rebirth Prime Earth. Remember, continuity is in flux now, starting with the revelation that 5 years are missing in DC Universe: Rebirth #1, and that isn't intended to be fully resolved until Doomsday Clock #12. So at the moment, if a flashback story doesn't seem to fit into what we know about the past, that's just because we don't have the full picture yet, and we won't for while...
