There is some confusion here. So did the New Earth character first appeared in Star-Spangled War Stories #84, 1959? And her Earth-One version also in the same comic book? And her Earth-Two version had a single appearance in World's Finest #247? Kowalewski (talk) 23:09, September 11, 2017 (UTC)

The disambig only includes the first appearance of the character, regardless of universe. If the New Earth page says something that conflicts with other appearances, then it should be fixed by someone who actually knows the accurate information. The information in this page regarding Earths One and Two is accurate. - S.S. (talk) 23:59, September 11, 2017 (UTC)

World War II Maries[]

Since it's unclear which of the pre-2008 Maries is which (since they were never written as multiple characters), here's all the text from the splash page in Checkmate (Volume 2) #22:

  • "My name is Sabine Roth, a schoolgirl, and I assassinated the butcher of Fontevraud where others could not."
  • "My name is Anais Guillot, a Maqui, and I fought the Germans on the Vercours plateau."
  • "My name is Simone Michel-Levy, one of the Brotherhood of Notre-Dame, and I was victorious at Bruneval."
  • "My name is Zoe Magnier, a mother of two, and I marched with General de Gaulle in Gabon."

Placing these in a timeframe:

Snarls:

  • The use of the cover art for Sgt. Rock #412 for Simone Michel-Levy is confusing, as that would imply she was active until well after June 1944, the earliest date for Rock to arrive in France.
  • DC Universe Legacies #4 might seem like a weird one, but it uses the Earth-One Marie (and probably should be linked as such). That entire series isn't really meant as a definitive timeline, more as an overview of DC's history.
  • Zoe Magnier is depicted with Unknown Soldier, but they were never in Gabon together. Luckily, their adventures were never referenced in New Earth.
  • I made sure the New Earth Maries all linked to Anais. I haven't read the appearances, but most seem to be 1944 or identified as Maquis.

Thoughts? --Tupka217 17:20, May 7, 2018 (UTC)
