Earth-1 Ivy

So, uh...

I've been reading Ivy's pre-Crisis appearances, and I think she was a different enough character back then (her name was Lilian Rose, for one) to warrant an article of her own. Are there any special channels I need to go through to make such an article? RubberLotus (talk) 15:12, February 21, 2016 (UTC)

Lilian Rose was later revealed to be an alias. --Tupka217 22:16, February 21, 2016 (UTC)
Some clarification/correction: World's Finest #252 (1978) calls her Lilian Rose, and gives her an origin. However, she already had another real name, Pamela Isley. That was first revealed (as far as I can tell) in Justice League of America #111 (1974). Who's Who: The Definitive Directory of the DC Universe #18 (1986) explains her real name is Pamela Isley, and explicitly identifies "Lilian Rose" as an error. However, the origin (with LeGrand) stays the same. Woodrue wasn't added in until Black Orchid #1/Secret Origins (Volume 2) #36 (1988/1989). --Tupka217 22:28, February 21, 2016 (UTC)
I agree that this page should be split (and, given the way it is written, it should be easy to do). Shadzane 💀 (talk) 22:03, December 8, 2016 (UTC)
I don't think so. Besides a little origin hiccup that was later slightly altered, all her history has been treated consistently. Furthermore, the retcon happened a couple of years after CoIE, meaning that all her appearances between '86 and '89 were still "Earth-One", which wouldn't make any sense. It's the same case as Two-Face, Riddler, Green Lantern, Flash, Mister Freeze and others. Unless there is a much more heavy continuity modifications, some pages don't really need to be split. - S.S. I once created an article about her Pre-Crisis version, and had arranged all of her appearances accordingly, but all my edits were undone. Her Pre-Crisis origin was different; much more modest powers (only immunity to poisons and climbing walls)
