Are Selena and Bruce Wayne still engaged?[]

I know they failed to get married in Batman (Volume 3) #50 (at an impromptu elopement), but are Selena and Bruce still engaged, or did they break their engagement too? Shadzane 💀 (talk) 21:11, August 21, 2018 (UTC)

Two Real Names[]

I like the way this page displays two Real Names. Is that a standard thing I can do on other pages too, or is it only allowed here? Shadzane 💀 (talk) 19:09, September 18, 2018 (UTC)

We have it on other pages too, like Superman. Though I wonder, was "Selina Calabrese" ever explicitly confirmed? That would require a source. --Tupka217 19:20, September 18, 2018 (UTC)

Selina's Parentage[]

In Catwoman (Volume 5) #4 we see a flashback to Selina's childhood and her parents are clearly Brian and Maria Kyle, not the Calabreses as in her New 52 origin, and Maggie is brought back into continuity, along with all of her pre-Flashpoint history. It seems her family has been completely retconned back to pre-Flashpoint. Should the Calabreses just be completely removed from her page & replaced with the Kyles or should both be included somehow, or should we wait and hope there's more information given later on? Samohyeah (talk) 17:15, November 16, 2018 (UTC)

It was still accurate for a time. So not removed outright. --Tupka217 17:29, November 16, 2018 (UTC)
We should definitely "wait and hope there's more information given later on". Continuity is in flux right now because of Rebirth, and it is supposedly going to be in flux until the end of Doomsday Clock (if not longer). So for right now, while we should indicate somehow that Selina's history has apparently changed, we shouldn't remove the previous history. Shadzane 💀 (talk) 18:19, November 16, 2018 (UTC)
Her parents have never been named, if they are then we should retcon Calabrese. MatthewOne (talk) 07:35, April 3, 2020 (UTC)

Brian and Maria should be added as parents. I avoided it on Maggie Kyle page so one article doesn't differ on the parentage from another. There's no reason not to add them because they're not "explicitly named". MoroccanKalisto (talk) 17:02, June 5, 2020 (UTC)

New Picture[]

Thoughts on replacing the main picture? I'm not really a fan of the current one; it doesn't really show off the costume or her personality. I think I might have even been the one to pick it out way back when but I can't be positive, but we have a lot more photos to work with now.

I was thinking Catwoman Vol 5 9 Variant. It's not the best to show off her costume, but it's really profile-picturey and has a lot of personality. --- Haroldrocks talk 12:56, March 16, 2020 (UTC)

I think the main image should be drawn by the artist who draws comic interiors. How about this? — Karl Meing (talk) 13:12, March 16, 2020 (UTC)
Not a bad suggestion, but I think that image has some unflattering headroom where the title used to be, and the background characters aren't really the most identifiable as a supporting cast (the second part is more personal opinion, I don't know that much about the Catwoman supporting cast). --- Haroldrocks talk 14:05, March 16, 2020 (UTC)
They were supporting cast in Volume 5 from issue 1 to 21. But they aren't appearing again. MatthewOne (talk) 14:47, March 16, 2020 (UTC)
Artgerm hasn't done any sequential art, so that's a no for me. I'm not sure if the Vol 5 constume with the weird exposed skin is more necessary, but if we go for it, at least pick something by Joëlle Jones as she's done much of the series. --Tupka217 15:22, March 16, 2020 (UTC)
File:Catwoman Vol 5 8 Textless.jpg was made by Joëlle Jones and Laura Allred. Karl Meing suggested it. Laura too has worked on some issues of the comic. MatthewOne (talk) 15:26, March 16, 2020 (UTC)
That one's fine with me. --Tupka217 15:31, March 16, 2020 (UTC)
User:Haroldrocks will you be okay with it if it's used? I do agree it has some unflattering headroom but in a large image it won't matter much. The supporting cast though have appeared since the beginning of Vol 5 in 2018. MatthewOne (talk) 15:38, March 16, 2020 (UTC)
I also have an alternate option people. Catwoman 80th anniversary cover by Joëlle Jones. I know it doesn't depict her body but it's quite easy on eyes and will of course be more iconic. Either way I'm fine with whatever you choose. MatthewOne (talk) 15:44, March 16, 2020 (UTC)
That kinda closeup is better for a disambig, which uses a smaller image and thus has to focus more on the character. Is that issue out yet? --Tupka217 15:47, March 16, 2020 (UTC)
Oh no the 80th anniversary releases next month. I meant to wait for it to come out. So if people agree I think we can use it as the disambig image when it comes out. I'm fine either way. MatthewOne (talk) 15:54, March 16, 2020 (UTC)
I'll accept the Vol 5 8 one! I appreciate the concern for my opinion, MatthewOne. :) You both make a good case for it and I'm not beyond compromise! All that matters to me is the current image gets upgraded, and I think it's an upgrade.
And I agree, I think the close up will be better for the disambig when it's out. --- Haroldrocks talk 19:26, March 16, 2020 (UTC)
I've added it now to the main page. MatthewOne (talk) 19:29, March 16, 2020 (UTC)

Debut[]

Is her actual debut date 2011? Because when I googled it up, some results say that she debuted in 1939/1940. Unidentified Entity Number 10 (talk) 20:47, July 17, 2020 (UTC)

That's Selina Kyle (Earth-Two)'s first appearance, this page is for New 52 Catwoman. --- Haroldrocks talk 20:49, July 17, 2020 (UTC)

BatCat aren't married[]

Tom King's Batman/Catwoman isn't in continuity. In the main continuity, BatCat never got married but broke up and Selina has moved on to Valmont already. Bruce has been shown dating another lady too in Detective Comics. The preceding unsigned comment was added by Broccolibaby (talk • contribs).

Does it matter who’s writing it mostly. The preceding unsigned comment was added by Legionaire315 (talk • contribs).
