Talk:World War III

Naming
I think we should make a distinction between the event called WWIII, and the Comics with storylines called WWIII. The main event article should be like the WWII one I created treating it as a real event, etc. Roygbiv666 12:28, 3 May 2007 (UTC)
- Sounds good to me. What do you think the Black Adam WWIII event should be called? --Brian Kurtz 14:54, 3 May 2007 (UTC)
- Well, the problem is - I have no familiarity with the JLA WWIII, so to me this new one is "real", as it was referenced OYL in JSA. Is the JLA one still "canon" (God, I'm a geek)? Either way, the event will be an event template. Roygbiv666 16:07, 3 May 2007 (UTC)
- Oh, and the Black Adam one is called "World War III", right? I guess the question is - to a citizen of DC Earth, is the JLA one recognized/remembered? Roygbiv666 16:09, 3 May 2007 (UTC)

- Yeah, the JLA story is considered canon. It was the last storyline of Grant Morrison's run on the book. I don't know if the JLA event is called World War III in-canon or not though. I do know that the Black Adam story is officially called World War III by the in-universe press. --Brian Kurtz 17:21, 3 May 2007 (UTC)
- Okay, how about we call the Black Adam related event "World War III" and maybe just have the JLA Comic WWIII, since nobody has ever bothered to write an article on it. Besides, if it was considered WWIII, then BA's would be WWIV! I can check on the links (unless you have some automated thing) and create a proper WWIII event page. Roygbiv666 20:14, 3 May 2007 (UTC)
- Is the JLA one the same as Ares#World_War_III? Roygbiv666 20:38, 3 May 2007 (UTC)
