This passage in the History section:

"Wotan is a mystical being who started out life as a prehistorical woman. In the stone age Wotan was a female member of a primitive tribe in a northern western wasteland. After being raped and beaten to the brink of death, the woman was determined to discover the reasons, if any, for human existence and the suffering it entails. Her attacker claimed to be the servant of God but his identity was never revealed. She studied the black arts and became such a powerful sorceress that she was worshiped as a goddess. She later learned how to switch from body to body and then to direct her own reincarnation, eventually becoming the male being now known as Wotan."

Isn't this the history of the (New 52), Earth-2, James Robinson, Karel Wotan? Does any of this apply to the ("New Earth"), Earth-Two, Gardner Fox, Wotan ?? Stoop Davy Dave (talk) 11:02, July 2, 2015 (UTC)

I don't know the Earth-Two/New Earth Wotan's history but that was definitely the origin given for Earth 2. Kyletheobald (talk) 17:14, July 2, 2015 (UTC)
That's what I thought. So this [material] shouldn't be included in g.a. Wotan's profile. Ahmina broom it out of there. Stoop Davy Dave (talk) 22:50, July 2, 2015 (UTC)
Agree. According to Who's Who, which is dated, but still, he's neither Asgardian god nor devil (though he has allowed people to believe he is). His true origin is unknown. To my knowledge, there's no later origin story for Wotan. --Tupka217 07:59, July 3, 2015 (UTC)
