Tasmia Mallor (Post-Zero Hour)

Tasmia Mallor, Umbra is a Talokian member of the Legion of Super-Heroes with the natural ability to generate and manipulate intense fields of darkness.

On her homeworld Talok VIII, Tasmia was taken at birth and put through years of rigorous training to become the next Talok Planetary Champion after her mother. When Talok became assimilated into the United Planets, her position became obsolete, and she was dismissed.^[1] After an incident with the Emerald Eye of Ekron in which a large number of then-active Legionnaires were transported to the 20th Century,^[2] tryouts for potential new additions to the Legion were held in Metropolis, which Tasmia attended. She was accepted for her abilities and prowess, and took the codename Umbra.^[3]

Literally an "Umbra" is the darkest part of a shadow. (Umbra is also latin for Shadow)^[4]
Tasmia can actually smell light.^[5]
