Synopsis

The mysterious Pylon and his organization the The Veil hire the mercenary team known as Dark Nemesis to bait the Teen Titans into a trap. Pylon wants to capture them so he can record vital biological data, but is not overly concerned whether he receives his targets alive or dead.

Dark Nemesis lures the Titans into a trap by attacking the Mall of the Universe in Minneapolis, holding all of the patrons and staff hostage. News of the hostage situation quickly hits the airways and Dark Nemesis openly challenges the Titans to fight them. The Titans (without the benefit of their leader, the Atom) respond to the call and fly out to Minnesota to engage Dark Nemesis.

Initially, the Titans make a strong showing, but Dark Nemesis is prepared for them. The armored mercenary, Vault, determines their individual weaknesses and contains them within cubes designed to negate their powers. When the Atom learns that his former students are in trouble, he heads out to Minnesota to rescue them. He succeeds in disrupting Vault's armor, freeing the Titans. The Titans fight back and Dark Nemesis are defeated.
