Synopsis for "Demo"
Slade Wilson and the H.I.V.E. decide to set a group of villains against the Teen Titans. The villains of choice are Gizmo, Jynx and Mammoth. Slade has them battle inside a virtual reality simulator against digital versions of the Teen Titans in the hopes of preparing them for the real thing. Meanwhile the real Teen Titans spend the day in Titans Tower arguing over how to play the video game known as Super Ninja Fury.
Notes
- This issue is reprinted in the Teen Titans Go!: Truth, Justice, Pizza! trade paperback.
- Teen Titans Go! is the comic adaptation of the Teen Titans animated television series broadcast on the Cartoon Network. It is loosely based on characters and settings from the first New Teen Titans series of comic books by DC Comics. Like the cartoon, Teen Titans Go! favors a style more in line with contemporary anime than that of traditional comic book storytelling. This series does not take place in the mainstream DC continuity.
- This issue was also reprinted as a giveaway special for "Free Comic Book Day" in May of 2004.
- In the mainstream DC continuity, Slade is usually known by his alias Deathstroke the Terminator, but in the continuity of the Teen Titans animated series and Teen Titans Go he is known only as Slade.
Trivia
- This issue is a prelude to the series pilot "Final Exam".
