So, instead of the 'updating whenever somebody realizes we need to' policy that we've had going on, I have updated the system. From now on, the Main Page will be using a template that automatically changes its name every month. Meaning, the main page will update to a new article every month, and we can plan them as far in advance as we want to. This is how most of the rest of wikia does this, and I thought it was time we updated. The ramifications of this are... we now need to make sure that we've planned ahead because the main page updates automatically even if we don't have anything prepared. But now we can also prepare literally years in advance if we wanted to. I don't suggest we do that, because that prevents us from highlighting topical or relevant characters, but we've always been flexible here anyway. Any thoughts on this? Does anybody think this is a bad idea? Or, like me, that this is a great idea?
