Tempus is a time traveler from an utopian future created by Lois Lane and Superman.

History

Once an ordinary law-abiding citizen, he is brought to the present by H.G. Wells, and becomes immediately enamored of the 20th century's guns and crime. Denouncing Utopia as unbearably dull by comparison, he plans to kill Superman as a baby to prevent his society from occurring. Though his plan is foiled and he is left in an 1866 insane asylum, he would return to enact other plans to destroy Utopia and acquire power for himself.
