The Legend of Wonder Woman was a four-issue limited series published from May to September of 1986. The series was written by Kurt Busiek with artwork by Trina Robbins. The series was patterned in the style of the Golden Age, but was not considered to be a flashback to Earth-Two -- it was a new, contemporary Wonder Woman with a Golden Age aesthetic.

Notes

  • The first issue establishes that "The Crisis has passed" placing it after Crisis on Infinite Earths #12.
  • At the end of the series it is revealed that history being rewritten from the Dawn of Time forward resulted in Wonder Woman never having existed. Hippolyta agrees to have the amazons of the old reality turned into constellations by Aphrodite so they don't forget.
