Synopsis for "Just Killing Time, Part One: A Three Hour Tour"
A group of rebel alternate reality future entities know as the Next stumble upon Earth while being pursued by the Iron Ring. They encounter a teenager named Monica Wong, accidentally frighten her, and she runs and gets hit by a bus. One of the Next forms a symbiotic relationship with Monica to bring her back to life. The Next explain their story to Monica, form human bodies create names for themselves, and send a repair construct to fix any damage they may have caused in the timestream. Meanwhile, Metron shows Superman the temporal breach. Superman attempts to repair it with an electromagnetic field, but inadvertently seals in the repair unit, causing an entity, the Oblivion Shadow, within the breach to slowly gain awareness. Superman heads towards Earth to track down the cause of the problem and encounters a sort of chronal force-field surrounding Santa Valda, CA, where time and space are beginning to fold in on themselves.
