Synopsis for "Exit Strategy, Part 1"

Five years prior, The Silencer and Talia al Ghul spar in the Hollywood Hills while Hope remembers the speech that Talia gave which convinced Hope to stay. Hope gets the upper hand but questions Talia about when she will be allowed to leave, as promised. Talia explains that there is one final job before Hope can leave the Leviathan Organization - kill a man named Guile.

In the present, Hope's husband is mowing the lawn and talking to Mrs. Furlong - their neighbour - while Hope tries to "repair" their washing machine. Hope attempts to fix the machine but resorts to losing her temper and demolishing it with a hammer, Blake teaches Ben about peaceful alternatives and the two go out to buy a replacement, leaving Hope to go to work.

Instead she goes to Aftermarket's Body Shop to purchase weapons. Aftermarket explains that Leviathan is in a state of shambles and it needs Silencer to elect Talia to the head of the organisation (despite Aftermarket's reservations about her). Hope puts in her order and promises to return to pick up her items later.

In her flashback, Hope watches Guile for several days before planning her assassination. She begins to envy his typical and normal life, but Talia reveals that he is a Leviathan underboss, an accountant for Leviathan who knows too much and who wanted to leave.

She tracks Guile to his house but meets his hired bodyguard - Deathstroke. Hope and Slade fight in Guile's home but Hope manages to knock Slade out of a window, allowing her enough time to take out Guile who beg for his life. Just as Hope kills the man Slade rushes into the room and causes Hope to inadvertently shoot the oven, and thereby the main gas line.

All of a sudden, the building explodes and only Hope is able to walk away.

Now, five years later, as Hope returns home her car is abruptly stopped by Slade who emerges from the night for Hope.
