Personal History
Trevor came to the United States as a child with his family and settled in New York City. He began drawing in high school, copying the styles of artists he admired, like Jack Kirby. At age 17, he was noticed by editors at DC Comics and brought on board to help create a new black superhero.
Professional History
Trevor was the youngest artist ever hired by DC, at 17 years of age and still in high school. He penciled the new Black Lightning comic before moving on to other projects for DC.
He spent some time working for Marvel on Power-Man and Iron Fist before returning full time to DC. He penciled the first Black Canary mini-series, the original Black Canary regular series, the first Geen Arrow mini-series and the critically aclaimed Thriller. In the nineties, he left the comic book industry to focus on commercial art.
More recently, he has returned to comics, working on Original Johnson for IDW and Stalker for Gateway Comics.
