History

Trinity is D.C's third major weekly serial. The focus is on the "trinity" of Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman looking at the shared history between these characters and also this disparate groups place in the universe. The main narrative is also complimented by a back-up strip, which concentrates on other plot strands with which to weave into the main story. One of the main themes is looking at the iconography of the big three, here using Tarot cards as representations. Superman - in his role as a savior, guardian and also the zenith of otherworldly power. Wonder Woman - who embodies truth and wants humanity to be more empowered, she represents magic in the trinity. Batman - Who represents fear, drive, ambition, change, his role is as the peak of humankind's enterprising spirit.
