Krona appears rejoicing in his freedom from the cosmic egg and notices that things are different on Earth but dismisses one planet as unimportant.

On Earth Lois Lane is doing her Fastlane show on GBS but describes events that don't match up with New Earth history (for example, Orin is ruler of Atlantis) and in a police precinct chief detective John Jones demands they turn off the program because there has never been credible news of aliens in the area...and there never will be. As Lois continues her program events shift back to the Justice Society whose make up has changed. Supergirl is now Interceptor and demands to know what a Green Lantern is on Earth without going through the proper channels and several members are in civilian outfits and relate different histories. John Steward turns into a cyborg like being but leaves the area before he can hurt anyone. After Lois concludes her show on the Susan Dibny murder hinting that Ray Palmer was responsible for the death of his late partner's wife Firestorm returns and finds things different.
