HistoryEdit

Ulla Paske, alias the Little Mermaid is a teenage hailing from Denmark. Her fathers was from the underwater kingdom of Tritonis one of the Atlantean city state, were the people had legs like surface dwellers. While her mother hailed from Poseidonis possesses tails like a mermaid. Born a mutant, Ulla could change her legs to a fish tail and fly above the water, but could only survive underwater for thirty hours at a time. Due to this limitation, Ulla was raised on land in Denmark by her adoptive parents. She was recruited as the countries representative in the superhero team the Global Guardians.^[1]

She later took part in helping the Atlantean heroes in the Crisis on Infinite Earths.^[2] When the Guardians were disbanded by the United Nations, Ulla was brainwashed along with her teammates by the Queen Bee of Bialya. Resisting brainwashing on several occasions, Ulla would be a constant worry to the Queen Bee and her cohorts, fellow Guardian members Owlwoman and Jack O'Lantern. To keep the team in the public eye Queen Bee has the the team sent to work with the Justice League Europe fight an invading alien robot. Queen Bee by had the robot created by a member of the Dominators.^[3]

Sumaan Harjavti the brother of the previous leader Colonel Rumaan Harjavti, decides to take back the leadership of Bialya. The Justice League infiltrated the country and confronted the Global Guardians.^[4] During that time, Ulla was seemingly killed by Jack O'Lantern who was revealed to be a Bialyan imposter. and the Justice League are blamed. ^[5]

However, she turned up later fighting with the Global Guardians again, stating that is was her evil twin who had died. A statue was resurrected along with the other fallen heroes.^[6]

Powers

• Atlantean Physiology: Little Mermaid was a Atlantean hybrid. She could shift between a legged form and a tailed form, survive underwater for up to 30 hours, Adapted for breathing underwater and resisting deep-sea-level pressure.

• Superhuman Speed: Little Mermaid can swim 100 m.p.h underwater.^{[citation needed]}
• Superhuman Strength: Little Mermaid possesses super strength.^{[citation needed]}
• Superhuman Durability: Little Mermaid possesses a high level of toughness.^{[citation needed]}
• Flight: Unlike other Atlanteans she has developed the power to fly.

• Ulla Paske possessed a strength level that would be considered superhuman by surface world standards. By Atlantean standards, Ulla Paskepossessed the strength level of a woman her age, size and weight who engaged in intensive regular exercise.

• Asphyxiation: Unlike her biological parents, Ulla Paske could not breathe underwater endlessly, she would have to surface after about 30 hours.
