Yes, it's going to be that kind of blog, but please bear through it, dear readers. :) My good friend turned me on to kickstarter about two weeks ago and this was a financially fatal mistake for me. I've seen so many good-looking projects with tasty looking awards (didn't know books could look delicious, huh?). Every few days I just keep seeing awesome sounding and eye-catching ideas and I just wanna jump on board. However, just pledging a dollar, the minimum pledge amount, doesn't do it for me. I want to have some decent, physical goodies that I can read, re-read, show off to friends and the staff at the lcs, and file away for posterity. I love the feel of kickstarter-from how you can hear/see the creators' pleas…

When I went to pick up three weeks worth of pulls at my local comic shop one of the "old timer" employees told me that Jerry Robinson, creator of the Joker would be doing a signing at the shop this Saturday! I'm so super-psyched for this! I wonder how early I should go though? Do you all think arriving one hour ahead of time would be sufficient? What are your other thoughts or reactions?Read more >

I'm pretty excited to see what Batman: Gates of Gotham Vol 1 4 has in store as it will, hopefully give more insight into how the Wayne's, Cobblepots, and Elliots, are all/were connected. Plus, seeing the dynamics among Grayson's Batman, Red Robin,Damian, and Cassandra Cain has been very interesting, especially given Grayson's internal monologue and perspective. Flashpoint Vol 2 4 seems like it's been on hiatus for a month! I can't wait to see how Cyborg, Batman, and the Flash deal with the sticky situation they were left in last issue. Also, I want to see if "emo" Superman will come back and help them out or not.
What's everyone else looking forward to next Wednesday?Read more >
Saw this over on IGN and although it doesn't show much it got me really excited as it brings back memories of Knightfall by Dennis O'Neil that I read in middle school.Read more >
