History:

Val-El was a native of the planet Krypton and a respected member of the House of El. He was known as a great explorer responsible for discovering lands that would later become known as Urrika and Lurvan. A statue of Val-El holding a telescope was erected and placed within the House of El family memorial vault on the planet, Rokyn.

  • This version of Val-El (Earth-One), including all history and corresponding appearances, was erased from existence following the collapse of the Multiverse in the 1985-86 Crisis on Infinite Earths limited series and is now considered apocryphal.
