The Wall of Weird is literally a wall located in the office of The Torch, Smallville High School's school newspaper. Newspaper staff member Chloe Sullivan began collecting various reports, photographs and newspaper clippings of every strange event to take place in the town of Smallville ever since the 1989 meteor shower. Many of these reports were directly related to people whose physiology was mutated as a side effect from exposure to green meteor rock. Her collection initially began as a scrapbook, but as more and more strange things continued to develop in Smallville, she began posting them on a bulletin board at The Torch. For the first month and a half of her freshman year, Chloe kept the Wall of Weird a secret from everyone but her friend Pete Ross. When a group of former football players became the target of a mysterious attacker, Chloe showed the wall to her friend Clark Kent. Throughout her freshman and sophomore year, more students found themselves the victims of meteor rock infection, and their pictures earned a place on the Wall of Weird. Chloe began taking a personal interest in some of the strange goings-on in Smallville, and became the target of a "meteor-freak" attack on more than one occasion. She came to realize that her Wall of Weird was becoming little more than sensationalism disguised as news, and so she began to dismantle it. One of Chloe's investigations required her to testify in a murder trial against corporate billionaire Lionel Luthor. Knowing that Chloe's life was at risk, Lionel's son Lex helped to fake Chloe's death, and she was relocated to a secret safe house for three months. During that time, she began putting together a new "Wall of Weird", this time focusing on material that tied directly to Lionel Luthor. Another version of the Wall of Weird was put together in Chloe's dormitory room at Metropolis University.
- The Wall of Weird used to be exclusive to the continuity of the Smallville television series. However, it was mentioned in the Supergirl TV series.
