Synopsis for "Spinning the Future, Part 1"
The Web has tracked down Deadly Force, one of the criminals who killed his brother David. He beats up the criminal to get answers, but he can't avoid remembering his brother's death... and his last will and testament. He left John a gun a set of dice, and a request to protect April. April, meanwhile, got David's charity. As they are walking away, April says John could ever tell when she was lying, and says he is a good man.
At his secret hideout, John started playing with the dice David left him. They kept showing [http:en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Snake_eyes snake eyes], and when he banged the table, they dissolved into a powder. Intruiged, John used his money to go looking for answers in the underworld. A dealer eventually identified the substance as a new drug called "Vyce". No one knows where it comes from, but it produces a high that makes the subject do things they would not otherwise do.
Paying some money, John got an appointment with a gang of youths in a fast car, who pulled a gun and demand twice the going rate. When he didn't argue, they gave him the drugs and ran away. However, upon changing into his superhero costume, John tracked them down with a tracer hidden inside a stack of hundred dollar bills. He tore down their drug factory, but was accosted by accosted by Deadly Force.
Finally getting the upper hand, the Web forces Deadly Force to give up Archer. Deadly Force tells him he's working at Bellevue Hospital Centre. Trussing up Deadly Force for the police, he leaves for the hospital.
The records don't show a Dr Archer, but electricity bills show a high input going to one room... which has "Dr Archer" on the door. Inside, John finds a chemistry set and a list of reports on psychosis. Dr Archer shows up, saying that he is making "great strides" in his study of the human mind, and that david Raymond got himself involved. The Web reaches for him, but is hit by a forcefield full of choking gas. As the gas hits, Dr Archer says that, rather than blaming him, the Web should have asked April what was happening...

Synopsis for "Bad Men"
In 1842, young Robert Dickering say a man hanged. His father told him that when bad men will not repent, the law must be there to send them on their way. And when the law fails, it is up to the rest of the world.
In modern San Francisco, the Hangman is fighting low-level criminals. Over the course of the night, twenty-six men and women who have been driven to crime by econmic need were told to stop. But he feels bad that he cannot fight the true evil that drove them there. As dawn breaks, he returns to his home and is forcibly changed back to his civilian identity as a doctor.
On the job, he finds a man whom he judged the previous night tried to commit suicide, but the rope broke. Now, the hospital staff works flat out to heal the man.
Afterwards, Sarah comes to him and says he has an outmoded sense of nobility which she is attracted to. Soon afterwards, an old woman says that Robert will be contacted by the Lifesavers, who are going to tell him about his station, where he must go, and something he has to guard. The woman vanishes, as if she was never there...
