Synopsis for "Fair Exchange"

A man and his girlfriend plot to kill off his aunt for her estate by getting a superstitious gardener to do it. The man tells the gardener that he doesn't look well and gives him a bottle of "medicine" to take that will only make him feel worse. After several hours of drinking from the bottle, the gardener is so far gone that he doesn't even recognize the man when he poses as a doctor who claims that there is no hope. The man then dresses up as death himself and comes back late at night and makes a bargain with the gardener that he will get 10 more years of life if he shoots the old aunt in exchange for taking his younger soul. The gardener agrees, and does so. The man and his girlfriend rush to the scene and attempt to get the gun from him, but he speaks to the air and says "10 years is not enough. Can I get more? Yes! I can?" and shoots the girl. The man pleads for his life stating that it was just a trick but he is gunned down as well. The gardener laughs as the police take him away that he has thirty years more of life, and the host assures us that he does indeed die thirty years after the day of the murders.
