Synopsis for Ibis the Invincible: "Death of the Cat"

In his last adventure, Ibis killed the high priest of an evil cat-worshiping cult, but has been reading up on them and learned their idol can give its servants nine lives. He rightly figures it's only a matter of time until he has to fight the cat priest again. Not long after, a jaguar attacks Ibis but he uses his wind to spontaneously combust it. This still leaves the priest with six lives, and in the middle of the night the cat priest kidnaps Taia to lure Ibis to an old mansion where he steals the Ibistick. Ibis is saved by the wand's failsafe in that any attempt to use it to hurt him backfires on its user, and the cat priest is to blown to pieces instead. Deciding not to work through the rest of his enemy's lives one by one, Ibis takes the fight to the cat cult by transporting himself to their temple and collapsing it on all the worshipers. The cat idol itself comes to life to attack, but Ibis changes it into an ice sculpture, ending its reign of terror.
