Synopsis for "WildStorm Rising, Part 2"

Hightower wants to talk, but the WildC.A.T.s refuse to listen and attack.  They chase him until he takes Emp hostage and asks why they went after him in D.C.  They blame him for the attack on Voodoo and brainwashing Maul.  He explains it was Defile who orchestrated those events, not him.  He further reveals he seeks three keys necessary to operate the lost Daemonite command ship so he can return to Daemon.  He stole part of one key from the Smithsonian; Grifter silently remembers Deathblow has the rest of it.  Defile and Helspont have the other two keys and, if they locate the ship, could use it to destroy Earth.  Hightower proposes an alliance with the team, and Emp agrees.  Grifter is infuriated, having once been tortured by Hightower, backhands Emp, and quits the team.  Elsewhere, Charles Russell explains to Savant how and where he found the partial key. She calls Halo for help, but no one answers.  She then contacts Synergy of Stormwatch who says she is sending an operative to help.  Suddenly, Mr. White and the Mercs attack and capture Russell and Savant.  Working for Defile, White tortures Russell for information on the key.  Fortunately, Mr. Majestic arrives and defeats the villains. Union appears and, misreading the situation, threatens Majestic.
