History
Congo Bill was a safari hunter in Africa who gained the ability to transfer his mind into the Golden Gorilla through a magical talisman. Many years later he lost the ability to switch and his mind was forever trapped inside the gorilla.

Powers
- Transformation: For a period of time, Congo Bill possessed the ability to transform back and forth into Congorilla. Merged with Congorilla, Congo Bill benefited from additional strength and stamina.
Abilities
- Hunting: Bill is a safari hunter, hunting wildlife for food as well as trophies.
- Survival: Bill routinely adventures into the African wilderness and it's deepest jungles with only a pack on his back.
- Stealth: Bill can creep forward with cat-like tread, sneaking up on villains without them ever knowing.[1]
- Tracking: Bill tracks missing persons as well as criminals through the dense jungles and always manages to find them.[1]
Notes
- Although this character was originally introduced during DC's Earth-Two era of publication, their existence following the events of the 1985–86 limited series Crisis on Infinite Earths remains intact. However, some elements of the character's Pre-Crisis history may have been altered or removed for Post-Crisis New Earth continuity, and no longer apply.
- Congo Bill was adapted as movie serial in 1948.

- Congo Bill was there with a young Oliver Queen when his parents Moira and Robert Queen were killed by lions on safari.[2]
- Congo Bill had a young man named Janu who acted as his sidekick.
