Inspector Henderson is a member of the Metropolis Police Department. He is a supporting ally to Superman, members of the Superman Family, and other Metropolis heroes such as Black Lightning. Bill Henderson was originally created as a character for the Adventures of Superman radio serial in 1940, but his first appearance in comic books was Elliot S. Maggin's Action Comics #440. (1974)
