Synopsis for "The Hidden and the Hideous"

A monster from another dimension boards a train which takes him to Earth. Due to the trip he gains a human appearance and loses his memory. He remembers the train and so he gets back aboard it hoping it will return him home. When he does locate his residence, he is surprised to find that it is occupied by monsters. They see a human and immediately become hostile and attempt to kill him. When he falls from a second story window attempting to avoid them, he dies and reverts to his normal monstrous appearance. His family are confused as to why he had appeared human before.

Synopsis for "Honeymoon for a Corpse"

Satanists that have disobeyed Lucifer are punished every year by a demon which comes to claim the youngest member of the family unless they can offer a substitute sacrifice. The youngest girl has already had three husbands given over but she refuses to let her most recent mate die in her stead so she offers herself to the demon.

Synopsis for "Flowers for Your Funeral"

A woman suspects her husband of cheating on her when it turns out he has been doing extra work delivering flowers in order to earn money to buy her a birthday gift. She follows him and notes the address of the woman he has been seeing. She sends the woman a box of poisoned chocolates and after she has eaten some of the chocolates that her husband has given her for her birthday he causally mentions that the woman kept receiving unwanted flowers from an ex-boyfriend and assumed the chocolates were from him as well so she gave it to him as a gift for his wife.

Notes

  • "Flowers For Your Funeral" is virtually identical to "Only A Rose!" in Spellbound 16
