A foul-up joins the local Satanic cult and when they attempt to extort the mayor or their new recruit will use his dark arts to destroy the town, the mayor balks, so the foul-up attempts to use his powers and destroys the Satanic temple. The mayor rewards him with a stipend and a job that includes no responsibility whatsoever.
