Synopsis for "The Cosmic Migration"

Myndi's death casts a pall over the Kapatelis home, with Vanessa growing withdrawn and Diana once again questioning her purpose and faith. Julia tries to console the two, but is interrupted by another visit from Queen Hippolyte's messenger pigeon; Diana, to the Kapatelises' dismay, is needed in Themyscira again. The Amazon Princess does her best to set the Kapatelises at ease, before obeying the summons.

Shortly after returning to Themyscira, Diana finds herself, her mother, and high priest Menalippe conveyed to Olympus - or rather, the smoldering husk Darkseid had left behind. There, a full assembly of Gods (save Ares) announce their plans for a new Olympus, which will require them to quit Earth for an unknown period; Hermes alone still objects, claiming that this venture amounts to deserting the ever-faithful Amazons. Regardless, he stands outvoted by his fellow Gods, who request the Amazons' help in destroying the old Olympus.

Diana, Menalippe, and Hippolyte all acquiesce - as does the rest of Themyscira, when relayed the message. Zeus, Poseidon, and Hades thus lead Diana into the core of the mountain, while the remaining Gods (including a reluctant Hermes) surround Menalippe. At the Gods' direction, the Amazons begin to pray, Menalippe converting these prayers into raw energy for the Gods. As one, the empowered Gods launch a bolt of divine might at Diana, who deflects and further intensifies it with her Aegis-forged bracelets. Finally, Zeus and his brothers capture the bolt and redirect its energies throughout Olympus, shattering the mountain from within.

Instants later, Diana, Hippolyte, and Menalippe find themselves returned to Themyscira. As Menalippe confirms the Gods' departure, the Queen ponders Themyscira's future - for soon, her nation will put the rejoining of Man's World to the vote.
