Synopsis for Superman and Batman: "The Infinite Evolutions of Batman and Superman!"

Superman discovers a deadly satellite that is about to crash into Earth. The satellite is made of Green Kryptonite so Superman enlists Batman’s assistance in bringing it down for study. They catch the satellite in a giant net and begin examining it. They find that the satellite is actually an evolution accelerator machine that accelerates creatures and devolves them on the evolutionary scale. They read a report written by the scientist Ral-Than on how he changed the evolution of Kryptonian creatures. Batman then decides that the machine should be tested so he decides to turn it on himself. Batman is transformed into a big brain humanoid accelerating himself 800,000 years on the evolutionary scale. Unfortunately the machine also transforms his personality, Batman becomes more cold, evil and emotionless. He turns the machine on Superman but instead of accelerating his form, he turns him into a primitive caveman. The changed Batman retreats to the Batcave where Robin witnesses his disturbing character traits. In the meantime the primitive Superman causes chaos in his hometown of Metropolis. He wrecks a bus, kidnaps Lois Lane and wrecks a train before he is sent back into the past by a calculating Batman. This would keep the primitive Superman out of the way for good leaving Batman to himself in the present. Primitive Superman spends time in the pre-historic past contemplating his situation and comes to the realization that Batman has double crossed him. He propels himself back to the future where he confronts the evil Batman. Batman agrees to change Superman back to normal with the evolutionary machine but in reality he plans to change Superman to an even more primitive state. Just as he aims the machine at Superman, Krypto gets in the way to protect Superman. Krypto is changed into a monster. Superman witnesses what Batman has done and hurls him into the machine's ray. Instead of being transformed into a monster himself, Batman is changed back to normal along with his personality. Batman then changes Superman and Krypto back to normal as well.

This story is reprinted from Action Comics #261.

Congo Bill is participating in a ceremony to open up a new dam. Unbeknownst to him, a ring of ivory smugglers has booby trapped his insulated gloves so that he receives an electrical shock when he pulls the switch. He falls back from the shock and accidentally rubs his magic ring which causes him and Congorilla to switch bodies. The smugglers see that Congo Bill is still alive and attempt to shoot him but they are unaware that Congo Bills body is occupied by Congorilla. To return back to normal, the ring must be rubbed again but it must be done after an hour has passed, no sooner. In the meantime Congorilla realizes what has happened and comes to Congo Bills rescue. Congorilla realizes that he must protect his human body if he is ever to return back to normal. With the mind of Congo Bill and the muscular ability of Congorilla, he is easily able to defeat the smugglers. During the struggle, a bullet is fired at Congo Bill and it incredibly grazes his magical ring just enough to switch both Congorilla and Congo Bill back to their normal bodies.
